Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday handed over appointment letters to 3,469 secondary teachers at Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium, Khelgaon. All the teachers to be appointed will be posted in government schools across the state. Local language teachers were also given appointment letters to teach children in their own language in schools. They will teach Santali, Mundari, Kudukh and other languages.
The number of teachers included 779 in History and Civics, 398 in Sanskrit, 341 in Geography, 337 in Hindi, 260 in Economics, 268 in Mathematics and Physics, 249 in English, 232 in Biology and Chemistry, 184 in Physical Education, 118 in Commerce, Music 97 in Urdu, 27 in Home Science, 50 in Home Science, 42 in Santhali, 29 in Bangla, 28 in Kudukh, 11 in Nagpuri, 11 in Mundari, 04 in Kurmali, 02 in Oriya, 01 in Panchpargania and 01 in Ho subject.
While maximum 279 teachers were posted in Ranchi, 263 in East Singhbhum, 240 in Dhanbad, 230 in Seraikela-Kharsawan, 228 in Godda, 200 in West Singhbhum. A total of 3,469 teachers have been posted in schools across the state.
Notably, all these teachers had passed the test during the Raghubar government. But the local policy framed by the Raghubar government was challenged in the court. After the order of the Supreme Court, the way for their appointment was cleared and today everyone got the appointment letter. On this occasion, Minister Alamgir Alam, Satyanand Bhokta, Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, Principal Secretary to CM Vandana Dadel, Secretary to CM Vinay Choubey and many others were present.
