Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday reiterated that he was not going to give in, no matter how much they (read the BJP-led central government) trouble him.

Distributing appointment letters among 827 newly recruited secondary school teachers at a programme organized at Ramdayal Munda Football Stadium, Morhabadi, the CM said: “I come from a family which can never bow down, no matter how much trouble you cause. From the day our government was formed, obstacles were created in working.”

Soren maintained that the opposition was doing its work, we are doing ours. “We have such a system that we are busy improving it. All I can say is that people’s expectations of this government have increased. Two and a half years passed during the Corona period. When the government regained its rhythm, work was stopped. Every attempt was made to destabilize the government. Still, we are moving forward,” he maintained.

“For the first time in 20 years, appointment rules of JPSC were framed. Now recruitment has started. Many appointments were made.”

The CM further said that today all people up to 60 years of age are getting pensions.

“We did not let even a single labourer die of hunger in Corona. This Corona took the sacrifice of two of our ministers. Pension is the biggest support for old age. We did the work of giving old pensions. Any child anywhere in the country can study abroad at the government’s expense, we did this. We do not say that we have solved all the problems. But we have started the work. The previous governments destroyed the entire system in 20 years,” he maintained.

On this occasion, the chief minister also launched the J-Guruji app developed by the School Education and Literacy Department to provide digital education to children. With this app, children studying in government schools in Jharkhand will be able to get online education.

On this occasion, Ministers Alamgir Alam, Satyanand Bhokta, MP Mahua Maji, Departmental Secretary K Ravi Kumar, and Secretary to CM Vinay Choubey among others were present.

The district that received the most appointment letters in the programme was West Singhbhum. Appointment letters were given to 100 teachers at the programme, while 5 appointment letters each were given to the teachers of the Khunti and Lohardaga districts.
