Ranchi, Nov 1: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday inspected the progress in the construction of Yogda Satsang Ashram-Kanta Toli-Kokar flyover, and instructed the Jharkhand Urban Infrastructure Development Company (JUIDCO) to complete the construction by April 2024.

“The flyover construction work should be completed within the stipulated period… Quickly remove obstacles including land acquisition, power pole shifting and encroachments,” said Soren as per a statement by the Chief Minister’s office.

The Chief Minister said that special attention should be paid to timeliness and quality in the construction of the flyover from Yogda Satsang Ashram to Shanti Nagar of Kokar via Kanta Toli Chowk. State officials informed that the deadline is April 2024.

“Our priority is to make transport accessible in the state capital. It is necessary to start the flyover to get rid of the problem of traffic. If there is any obstacle in the flyover work, then the construction company and JUIDCO should expedite the works by coordinating with the state government immediately,” Soren said.

The Chief Minister directed the officials of JUIDCO to settle all the processes related to land acquisition and petrol pumps and other encroachments by 30 November 2022. Similarly, the work of shifting of electricity poles should be completed by 15 December 2022 so that there is no obstruction in the construction work.

He also directed that people should not face any inconvenience during the construction work. Build a good diversion road so that there is no problem with vehicular movement. He instructed the officials of the contractor company to make junctions wherever there is a need for Kantatoli to make the flyover free from jams during construction.

He asked officials to ensure compliance with safety standards at the time of flyover construction. He directed Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar Sinha to ensure that there is no shortage of sand in the construction work.

JUIDCO and contractor company Dineshchandra R Agrawal Infracon Private Ltd placed a detailed presentation on every aspect related to the progress of work in front of the Chief Minister before the flyover inspection by him.

Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rajiv Arun Ekka, Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey, Agriculture Secretary Abu Backer Siddiqui, Deputy Commissioner Ranchi Rahul Kumar Sinha, Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal, and officials of JUIDCO and contractor company were present.
