Ranchi, April 28: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Thursday left for Hyderabad for the treatment of his mother Rupi Soren as her condition deteriorated during the treatment at city-based Hill View Hospital.
The chief minister accompanied by his wife Kalpana Soren and nine others flew to Hyderabad in a special flight for the treatment of his mother who has been suffering from a pancreas problem. In Hyderabad, she will be treated at the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology.
“Chief Minister is likely to stay with his mother in Hyderabad. We have not been informed about his return plan. On Saturday he will be in Delhi to attend the union law department’s meeting at Vigyan Bhavan. This will be attended by the prime minister, chief justices of all High Courts, Justices of the Supreme Court, and chief ministers. The Chief Minister has no other engagement at this moment except the health of his mother,” well-informed sources at the CM secretariat said.
Rupi Soren was hospitalized on April 20 as she developed complications. She was suffering from fever and vomiting. Doctors doubted infection and her treatment was started. But all of a sudden on Thursday her condition deteriorated forcing the CM to rush his mother to Hyderabad on the advice of doctors.
