Daltonganj, Dec 9: The Palamu district administration is giving final touches to the preparation of a divisional program, Aapke Adhikar, Aapki Sarkar, Aapke Dwar that is slated for tomorrow. The programme is to be graced by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
Garhwa and Latehar administration would be joining the programme at the police line ground.
“We have received more than 93,000 applications so far and more than 64,000 have been disposed of. It comes to 70 percent,” DC Palamu Shashi Ranjan said.
“Till date, we have not received any application for compensation or relief for death occurred due to covid. The state government has set up a committee in each district, to be led by additional collector in regard to fiscal relief post covid death. We have a record of 110 deaths from the government health facility centres that occurred here all due to covid,” he added.
Reminded that death certificates issued did not carry any mention of covid causing death which may raise complications to which the DC Ranjan said that to sort out this issue, the state government has set up the committee.
“We now believe affected families may be filing applications for covid death relief,” he further added.
About the challenges of this programme, DC Ranjan asserted that applications coming for the awas scheme follow a rigor of procedure besides targets for ‘awas’ are preset. Hence immediate grant for houses is just not possible but such applications are kept for future processing.
