Ranchi, June 22: Chief Minister Hemant Soren is set to attend the two-day programme in Sahibganj on the occasion of Hool Diwas on June 30 where he will offer floral tribute to tribal martyrs Sido Kanu Chand Bhairav Murmu at Bhognadih.
The JMM central general secretary and spokesperson Suprio Bhattacharya said that the chief minister is scheduled to visit Sahibganj to attend the Hool Diwas programme. Besides, the CM will also interact with party workers and leaders and he is also likely to review welfare and developmental projects.
Hemant Soren represents the Barhet assembly seat which is a part of the Rajmahal parliamentary seat. Hool Diwas has always been a special occasion when people turn up at Bhognadih to show their respect for martyrs. But due to Covid 19 pandemic, Hool Diwas for the past two years passed off with only token celebrations.
Hemant Soren is set to arrive at Sahibganj on June 29 when he will inaugurate the milk processing plant at Mahadeoganj. On April 6, 2017, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the milk processing unit of Medha dairy.
The JMM has started preparations for the arrival of the chief minister.
“Most probably our chief minister and our working president Hemant Soren will hold a meeting with party workers on the evening of June 29 at his residence at Patna. On the next day, we will join him in the Hool Diwas celebration at Bhognadih. He will also participate in the torch procession starting from Panchkathia and ending at Bhognadih. Details of his programme are awaited,” said Sahibganj district president Shahjahan Ansari.
The district administration has made elaborate security arrangements for the chief ministerial programme.
