Hemant Soren has told the Home Minister that 20,000 Indians, including 18,000 students, are stranded in Ukraine. Many people in this are also from Jharkhand. His office is constantly being contacted by relatives of people from Jharkhand who are stuck in Ukraine during this war. The trapped people are in a state of panic. In such a situation, in this hour of crisis, we should reach out to them and make every effort to get them out of there and return home.

Notably on Saturday, the State Migrant Control Room had released a list of 86 people from Jharkhand stranded in Ukraine. Of the 86 people trapped, 62 are men and 24 are women. Most of them are from Ranchi and then Hazaribagh and West Singhbhum.

Earlier, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has announced that if all the Jharkhand residents trapped in Ukraine come back from their personal expenses, then the state government will pay the entire amount to Reimburse.
