Ranchi, July 15: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s representative Pankaj Mishra has ducked yet another summon of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) as he has told the agency that he was under treatment owing to pancreatic swelling.
The agency carried out raids in Sahibganj against him and others in a money laundering case. He was asked to appear for questioning on July 12 that he avoided on the grounds of poor health. He got himself admitted at Sahibganj-based Surya Speciality Hospital. The ED sent him a fresh summon to turn up for questioning on July 15.
Meanwhile, Surya Speciality Hospital today referred Pankaj Mishra to a higher gastro centre for treatment. “He was referred to a higher centre and discharged from our hospital. He is no more under my treatment. He has been suffering from a pancreatic problem,” said Dr Vijay Kumar, director of the hospital.
ED questions Dahu Yadav on second day
Meanwhile, Pankaj Mishra’s close associate Dahu Yadav along with Bacchu Yadav and Rajiv Kumar alias Mama has reached the ED office for questioning. Rajiv Kumar is a native of Godda and he is said to be close to Dahu Yadav and Pankaj Mishra.
Today is the second consecutive day when Dahu Yadav is being questioned by the ED. On Thursday, the ED officials warned and reprimanded Dahu Yadav as he tried to break the security protocol. Sources said that Dahu Yadav entered the ED office premise along with his four armed private security guards. While his guards were pushed out of the campus he was warned not to breach the security protocol.
