Ranchi, March 31: Jharkhand Congress in-charge Avinash Pande has started a hunt for all such forgotten leaders and workers who once had served the party with dedication. Pande made this intention known during the meeting of former presidents of the party in the state besides different morchas. The meeting was held in New Delhi which was attended by state president Rajesh Thakur, minister Rameshwar Oraon, Sukhdeo Bhagat, Pradeep Balmuchu, Abha Sinha, Kumar Raja, Kumar Gaurav, and many others.

Notably, Pande is likely to visit Ranchi on Friday to attend three days training session of the Youth Congress named as Yuva Krani Prasikshan Shivir. But he decided to call the meeting of former heads before scheduling his Ranchi visit.

Talking to the Lagatar24.com, former NSUI president Kumar Gaurav said that the meeting was called to discuss how to carry forward plans the party has decided for its expansion in Jharkhand.

“We have been given some tasks and the most important of them is that we have to find out our old associates who served the party in different capacities. We need to reconnect them with the party once again. We can also recommend if they can be given some responsibilities,” said Kumar Gaurav.

Abha Sinha who is a former president of the Jharkhand Women Congress said that she has been asked to work out a plan on how to connect homemakers with the party.

After taking charge of the in-charge, Pande held a number of programmes in Jharkhand, including the three days Chintan Shivir held at Parasnath in Giridih. It was followed by divisional level meetings. The Chintan Shivir had discussed several issues about the government as well as the party.
