Ranchi, Jan 25: In yet another incident of an IED blast in the Kolhan region of Jharkhand, a CRPF sub-inspector Insar Ali jawan sustained injuries.
The incident took place at Jojohatu forest under the Mufassil police station area when Ali, who is associated with the 197 CRPF battalion, was on a search operation to flush out Maoist from the region.
He was immediately airlifted and admitted to Bhagwan Mahavir Medica Superspecialty hospital for proper treatment.
Adviser of Medica group of hospitals, Anand Srivastava, said that the jawan had injuries on his stomach and hand.
Since January 11, as many as 11 CRPF jawan sustained injuries in IED blasts in the Kolhan region. On January 11, as many as six CRPF jawans sustained injuries while on January 12, the injury figure was three. On January 20, there were two.
