Ranchi, July 16: A month before the Enforcement Directorate raid, Dahu Yadav had purchased six Eicher 6035T HYVA worth over Rs 3.50 Crore and he launched these on the occasion of Ganga Dussehra observed in June. He is said to have purchased costly transport vehicles from a dealer in Dhanbad.
Dahu Yadav is said to be a close associate of CM Hemant Soren’s MLA representative Pankaj Mishra who is also facing the heat of the money laundering investigation.
He made the investment for the purpose of the expansion of his company Singhwahini Transport and Logistics. Dahu Yadav who is seldom known by his first name Rajesh Yadav wants to dominate the road and surface besides inland water transport in Santhal Pargana. These six HYVAs are in addition to a number of such trucks he had purchased in the past.

The ED suspects that Dahu Yadav laundered money through illegal mining and other criminal activities and he invested the same in his transport business. Sources revealed that of late he purchased five to six swanky SUVs namely Mahindra Scorpio and Mahindra Thar to expand his fleet to add more gunners and supporters when he travels. The ED is examining inputs and transaction details and the possibility can’t be denied that Ed may call for questioning the concerned dealer also. Besides, he is said to have gifted a costly SUV to one of his close confidants who manages his inland water transport on river Ganga.
The fact was corroborated when the ED carried out a massive raid at his residence on July 8. Certain vehicles and machinery belonging to Dahu Yadav were found around his premises including Mahindra Rexton (Registration No. JH17U1048), Tata Safari (Registration No. JH18B0249), Mahindra Scorpio (Registration No. JH18D4179), Mahindra Scorpio (2022 model, not registered) besides Swaraj Tractor (2009 Model not bearing any registration number), Royal Enfield Classic 350 CC (not bearing any registration number), Bajaj Pulsar 150 CC (Registration No. JH18D6084) and a total five dumpers of Eicher/HYVA.
Besides, the ED confiscated a large number of incriminating documents and property papers. As per the report the ED has coded such recovered documents in the following description: Loose Sheets Numbered from 1 to 80, Register of the brand Peacock’, wherein ‘T-3’ has been written in Black Marker marked as ‘A’ numbered from 1 to 52, Register of the brand ‘Peacock’, wherein ‘T-4’ has been written in Black Marker marked as ‘B’ numbered from 1 to 97, Register of the brand ‘Peacock’, wherein ‘Khall (in Hindi) & ‘T-3’ has been written in Black Marker marked as ‘A’ numbered from 1 to 17, Register of the brand ‘Peacock’, wherein ‘Khali’ (in Hindi) & ‘T-4’has been written in Black Marker marked as ‘B’ numbered from 1 to 176.
