Daltonganj, March 4: The East Central Railway’s divisions such as Sonepur, Danapur, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, Dhanbad, Samastipur etc launched a massive drive where 85 transgenders were caught in trains harassing passengers and were fined worth Rs 64,000.
The East Central Railway has assured more such actions in future as well.
Notably, transgenders in long-distance trains harass and cause inconvenience to passengers and sometimes even insult those who do not oblige them with a minimum of Rs 10.
Three or four of them enter the coach, clap their palms violently and force passengers to cough up the money. They make vulgar faces and their gestures and postures just offend girls and women passengers.
