Ranchi, May 21: The School Education and Literacy Department has invited applications from middle schools, inter colleges, Sanskrit schools and madrasas run all over the state for the yearly grant provided to non-funded schools and colleges of the state in the fiscal year 2022-23.
The portal for this will open from July 1 for online applications, for which, the Directorate of Secondary Education has already passed an order. Institutions will also have to give an account of the grant received in the last three years. Notably, the state government has made a provision of Rs 90 crore for this grant in the budget.
Schools, colleges and madrasas that are not financed by the state, however, that fulfill the necessary qualifications will be able to apply online from July 1 to July 31. After this, the applications will be checked by the concerned District Education Officer and Secretary of the Jharkhand Academic Council.
The recommendation will be then sent to the Directorate of Secondary Education through an online medium by August 15. The online process will be closed automatically after the stipulated date and no application will be accepted after that.
The officials at the Directorate of Secondary Education have advised all the non-financed educational institutions to ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria required in the online application before the final submission of the online application.
Said schools, colleges and madrasas should have permission or should be recognized by the Jharkhand Academic Council.
“The governing body and management committee should be duly constituted. Grant will be given only to those schools, colleges and madrasas that have had 40 percent results in the matriculation or intermediate examination in the previous year,” the officials added.
