Hazaribag, Jan 10: Forest Range Officer Chotelal Sahu sustained severe injuries when his driver collided with a stationary trailer on the Ranchi-Patna highway (NH-33) this afternoon. Sahu was travelling from Ranchi to his place of posting in Barkagaon block when the incident occurred.
According to police reports, the driver of the SUV, Ezaz Ansari, attempted to avoid a biker, swerving the vehicle to the other side of the road. Unfortunately, the SUV struck the stationary trailer, resulting in serious injuries to Sahu, including a broken hand and a head injury. Ansari also sustained injuries but is now out of danger.
Sahu was taken to Sheikh Bhikari Medical College and Hospital, where he was provided treatment. Doctors later referred him to Ranchi for further medical care.
Ansari reported that the accident was caused by a sudden appearance of a biker in front of the SUV, causing him to apply the brakes. Unfortunately, due to a brake failure, the SUV collided with the stationary trailer, resulting in extensive damage to the vehicle.
