Hazaribag, May 11: Governor C P Radhakrishnan today complimented the faculty and BSF (Border Security Force) staff who contributed immensely to mould youngsters from civil boys to disciplined bordermen. He was addressing a gathering of administrative officers, police officials, BSF officials and jawans in passing out parade organised at the BSF’s Meru camp, 10 km away from Hazaribag district headquarters.
A total of 139 sub-inspectors who completed 51 weeks of rigorous training were part of this passing out parade organised in Rani Jhansi parade maidan. The training included physical training, handling of various advance weapons, field craft, battle craft, minor tactics, map reading, field engineering, counterinsurgency, disaster management, swimming, personality development, law, human rights, adventure and others.
Radhakrishnan, in his address, also reminded the incredible contribution of BSF which he said is the first line of defence of the country. He asked all sub-inspectors to use all the skills and experience they gather here during service to the nation. He also awarded medals to sub-inspectors who secured overall first position and excelled in their respective fields during 51 weeks of basic training.
Inspector general of BSF Meru, Daniel Adhikari expressed thanks to the chief guest who graced the occasion.
