Ranchi, Sept.2: Amid political turmoil, Jharkhand governor Ramesh Bais today took off for New Delhi.
Raj Bhavan sources said that he had gone for some personal work in his family. However, his visit has led to speculations in the political circle as he left the Jharkhand capital a day after his assurance to the UPA delegation for clearing all doubts arising out of the ECI opinion on the office of profit case involving Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
“It is quite possible that the government has gone to take legal advice on the matter of office of profit as he has given assurance to the UPA delegation. Apart from this, it is also quite possible he may take suggestion of one day special session of Jharkhand assembly on September 5 which is being convened to get a confidence motion passed. Though it is a special session, it is being termed as part of Monsoon session which was adjourned sine die a day before its scheduled day of completion,” a political observer said.
