Ranchi, Jan 18: Jharkhand government is all set to roll out the android application for providing Rs 25 per litre subsidy on petrol to the poor and middle-class families of the state.

It is most likely to be launched by Chief Minister Hemant Soren on January 26. Under the scheme, pink and green ration cardholders of the state owning two-wheelers will get Rs 25 per litre on petrol for a maximum of 10 litres in a month.

District Transport Officer Praveen Kumar Prakash said that at the DTO level the two-wheeler will be checked for valid documents, after which will be sent to the supply department.

“The valid documents will include the registration details of the vehicle along with insurance and pollution certificate which should be up to date to get the benefit of the subsidy,” Prakash said.

There are two ways in which beneficiaries will have to register themselves to take advantage of the subsidy.

Under the first process, the beneficiary will have to download an application named ‘CM Support Scheme’ from the Google Play Store. After which eligible cardholders will have to make all personal entries in the app. Under the entry, the verified Aadhaar number of all the family members should be recorded in the ration card and also Aadhar number and mobile number should be linked to the bank account to get the benefit.

After completing the entire process by the applicant, all his data will go to the DTO login, where it will be verified whether the vehicle is registered in the name of the applicant or not which will then go to the login of the District Supply Officer, from where the ration card will be verified in the name of the applicant or not. After this, the amount will be transferred to the eligible beneficiary in the bank account through DBT.

The second process is for the people who are not having the facility of Android mobile phones. Under this, the applicants will have to apply online in the e-ration management system on the ‘Aahar portal’ of the Food Supplies Department. While applying, all those entries have to be entered which have been mentioned in the first process. After this, the subsidy amount will be transferred to the beneficiary’s account after verifying it at the DTO level.
