Ranchi, July 27: The Jharkhand High Court deferred the hearing in the CBI petition demanding enhancement of punishment of culprits of the fodder scam case (RC 64 (A)/96), which is related to Deoghar treasury and list of convicts including the former chief minister of Bihar, Lalu Prasad Yadav, besides treasury officer Subir Bhattacharya and IAS officer Julius Beck.

The development took place in the division bench of Justice R Mukhopadhyay and Justice Ambuj Nath. Before the court deferred the hearing, it sought information about the period of punishment of the convict from the Birsa Munda Central Jail.
