Ranchi, July 29: The Jharkhand High Court on Friday deferred the hearing in the matter of shell companies till August 26.
The development took place after the division bench comprising Chief Justice Dr Ravi Ranjan and Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad was informed that the solicitor general was suffering from Covid-19.
The Jharkhand High Court on July 8 had issued a notice to Dumka MLA Basant Soren besides former treasurer of the JMM Ravi Kejriwal in the PIL 4290/2021 related to allegations against Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his associates for parking their unaccounted money in different shell companies.
The court passed this order while hearing a PIL 4290/2021 and 727/2022.
In the PIL no. 4290/2021, the petitioner Shiv Shankar Sharma has alleged the chief minister and his associates including Ravi Kejriwal and Amit Agrawal for parking their unaccounted money in the shell companies and demanded a CBI inquiry. The PIL no. 727/2022 is related to the CM availing stone mining lease in his name at Angara in Ranchi.
