Ranchi, Aug 26: The Jharkhand High Court today dismissed the petition challenging the Anjuman Islamia election process.
With this, the path has been paved for election on the scheduled date of August 29.
The petition was filed by Akilur Rahman in the High Court. He had alleged irregularities in the voter list and urged the court to stay the election process.
Before the court dismissed the petition, it took clearance from the CEO of the Sunni Waqf Board regarding the correctness of the electoral roll.
