Ranchi, January 24: The Jharkhand High Court today granted bail to BJP MLA Dhullu Mahto, who was convicted to 18 months in prison for impeding authorities’ work and shredding a police officer’s uniform in order to help a person escape from police custody.
The order was issued by Justice Navneet Kumar’s bench.
The bail was granted based on the completion of four months of his jail term following his surrender before a trial court in Dhanbad.
Rajesh Gupta and Chunmun Gupta were among those granted bail along with Mahto.
