Ranchi, May 18: The Jharkhand High Court today imposed a fine of Rs one lakh on Jharkhand Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (JUVNL) while hearing a service matter.
A division bench headed by Chief Justice Sanjaya Kumar Mishra imposed the fine besides directing it to reinstate petitioner switch board operator Raj Kumar Bhadani, who submitted before the court how he was first appointed for the job in 2016 and after a year dismissed from the job on the ground that he did not fulfil the requisite qualification.
Appearing on behalf of Bhadani, advocate Dhananjay Pathak submitted before the court that he was appointed on regular basis only after he extended his service for eight years on contract basis on the same post.
