PINAKI MAJUMDAR
Jamshedpur, March 2: Humanity is above all and state’s health minister Banna Gupta championed this on his way to Ranchi from Jamshedpur this morning.
Three youths met with an accident on the National Highway- 33 at Dulmi between Chandil and Chowka in adjoining Seraikela- Kharsawan district, about 30 km away from Jamshedpur, when the bike on which they were travelling was hit by a trailer.
Health Minister Banna Gupta, who was on his way to Ranchi for attending the assembly session, stopped at the spot when he found three youths in a pool of blood and writhing in pain.
The minister came out of his vehicle and immediately called an ambulance for rushing the injured youths to a hospital in Jamshedpur.
The minister said the injured youths could not be immediately identified.
He also asked the civil surgeons of East Singhbhum and Seraikela- Kharsawan to coordinate and ensure the proper treatment for early recovery of the mishap victims.
Seraikela police also reached the spot and seized the bike and the erring trailer.
Notably, the stretch of NH- 33 between Chowka and Chandil has become mishap prone because of the diversions and road widening work, which is yet to complete.
