Jharkhand High Court grants bail to Wasseypur gang member

Ranchi, Oct.1: A youth associated with Wasseypur gang Hrithik Khan was today granted bail from the Jharkhand High Court.

Justice Anubha Rawat Chaudhary passed the order hearing the bail plea by advocate Aman Kumar Rahul on behalf of Khan.

The bail was granted on the condition that a close relative of Khan, who is nephew of Faheem Khan of Gang of Wasseypur, will be his bailer and he will be physically present in the trial court on every day during trial. Apart from this, Khan will also have to deposit two personal bonds each of Rs 25000 as surety. In case of violation of bail condition, his bail order will stand rejected.

Khan is accused of killing Ranjit Kumar, the manager of BKB Company. This incident took place in the year 2018. An FIR was registered in this connection at Kenduadih police station of Dhanbad district under sections 302,307,387,427 and 120B of the IPC. The case is on trial. So far, the prosecution has produced seven of the eight witnesses.
