Ranchi, Mar 8: The court of Justice Dr SN Pathak of Jharkhand High Court, while hearing a petition filed for non-signature of the invigilator on the OMR sheet of the seventh to 10th Combined Civil Services Preliminary Examination (PT), refused to stay the main examination to be held from March 11. The court said that the petitioner’s request (IA petition) cannot be accepted.

The court has directed the JPSC to file its reply in the matter; meanwhile, March 28 has been fixed for the next hearing. Earlier, on behalf of the JPSC, advocate Sanjay Piprawal and advocate Prince Kumar, had said that it would not be appropriate to stop or delay the mains examination. The carbon copy of the OMR sheet has been given to the candidates for the first time and their number and bar code is printed on the original OMR sheet.

Along with this, the lawyers claimed to have an attendance verification sheet, wherein a provision states that the booklet series number of the question paper, OMR sheet number, candidate’s signature to be matched with the invigilator’s signature and the center superintendent’s signature.
