Jharkhand High Court reserves order on para-teachers

Ranchi, Nov.30: The Jharkhand High Court today reserved its judgment on the matter of adjustment of Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) qualified para teachers in government schools.

The development took place in the court of Chief Justice Dr Ravi Ranjan and Justice S.N.Prasad after the advocates of para teacher and government presented their side.

During the hearing, the state government submitted the report of the committee constituted by the Jharkhand Education Project Council in the year 2021 to give opinion on adjustment of para-teachers.

Earlier, the advocates appearing on behalf of para-teachers submitted that the salary that the para teachers get should be equal to that of assistant teachers. It was submitted that services of para teachers working for a long time be regularized

As many as 111 para teachers had filed their petitions.
