Jharkhand High Court seeks reply from State government on Trikut ropeway tragedy in Deoghar

Ranchi, April 12: The Jharkhand High Court today took suo motu cognizance of the ropeway tragedy at Trikut in Deoghar district and directed the state government to file a report before it in the matter.

Meanwhile, a woman tourist fell off the chopper today while getting rescued.

 

A division bench comprising Chief Justice Dr Ravi Ranjan and Justice S.N.Prasad  took the coginsance on the basis of media reports.

 

The tragedy took place on Sunday. The rescue operation is still on with the help of a joint team of ITBP, NDRF and Indian Airforce and Garud Commando. So far four persons died in the incident and at least five sustained injuries in the incident.
