Ranchi, Dec 29: The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) has demanded a high-level probe into the murder of regional film actress Riya Kumari alias Isha Alia.

IUML state vice president Mohammed Shahabuddin has raised the demand a day after Alia was murdered in West Bengal and her husband was arrested in this connection.

“We all are with Isha’s family in this hour of grief. Our party demands the current Soren government to pass orders for a high-level inquiry into Isha’s murder so that the killers can be found they can be brought to the gallows,” Shahabuddin said.

According to Shahabuddin, all the regional artists have become worried about their security after the incident and if proper action is not taken on the matter then getting artists for regional films will become difficult in future.
