Ranchi, Sept 15: The Higher and Technical Education Department has begun the admission process for 4838 seats in state private and private-public partnership (PPP) colleges through the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB).
Government colleges along with the total number of seats in said colleges include:
- BIT Sindri (680) and
- University College of Engineering (210)
Private colleges include:
- Ramgovind Institute of Technology, Koderma (336)
- Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society’s Technical Campus, Bokaro (300)
- RTC Institute of Technology (240)
- BA College of Engineering and Technology (174)
- Nilai Education Trust’s Group of Institutions Thakurgaon, Ranchi (360); and
- K K College of Engineering and Management, Dhanbad (420)
Other private colleges include
- RVS College of Engineering and Technology, Jamshedpur (350)
- CIT Tatisilwai, Ranchi (390)
- DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology, Palamau (180); and
- Maryland Institute of Technology and Management, Jamshedpur (225)
PPP Colleges in the state that will be opening admissions soon include Dumka Engineering College, Chaibasa Engineering College, Ramgarh Engineering College, and Palamu Engineering College; all of which have 300 seats each.
According to the programme released by the board, the online application process will end on September 20 for the state merit list. The online application can be amended on September 21-22, while the state merit list will be updated and published on September 24. Under the first counselling, the online choice of institutes and seats will be filled from September 26 to October 3. It can be amended till October 5.
Meanwhile, allotment of seats will be done from October 10 to 15 and in the meantime, the certificates of the concerned candidates will be checked in the allotted institutes and enrollment will be ensured. Under this counselling, enrollment will also be done in Hotel Management and Catering Technology operated by Avadh Institute of Hotel Management and Catering.
