Jharkhand logs 1,269 fresh cases, 8 deaths in last 24 hours

Ranchi, Jan 24: New Covid infections, continued to decrease with 1,269 new cases being reported during the last 24 hours in the state on Sunday taking the total number of active cases to 19,466 with 3,423 recoveries and eight deaths.

While four casualties were reported from East Singhbhum, one case each from Hazaribagh, Deoghar, Dhanbad and Lohardaga.

The total number of Covid-19 cases in the state since the outbreak of the pandemic has reached 4,20,427 out of which 3,95,700 have recovered and 5,261 have scummed to the virus.

Dumka with 285 new cases remained at the top followed by East Singhbhum with 224 new cases.
