Deoghar, Feb 23: An interactive session between police personnel and the medical team was held at the town police station in Deoghar on Wednesday.
During the session, policemen were trained on how to take care of an injured person. They were taught how to handle them with care especially ones with fractures and how to manage excessive blood loss too. After training, police personnel will be skilled enough to provide at least first aid when needed.
Talking to the media, Deoghar SP Subash Chandra Jatt said, “There are two basic purposes of the session, first is to train the policemen how to attend to injured and to stop excessive blood loss because due to negligence and not being treated on time, the accident becomes fatal and secondly, they are being trained to collect the information from the post of occurrence amicably examine and in case of a suicide, how to save the life of victim if he or she is breathing.”
The SP assured that the PCR vans would be equipped with a first aid box, stretcher and other medical requisites to provide immediate medical aid to the injured. The interactive session will be held phase-wise and all the police officers of the district will be covered.
