Ranchi, March 12: ‘Sarna Jhanda Garhi’ a Sarna Dharma Code Maharally demanding the Sarna Dharma Code was organised by several tribal groups on Sunday. Leaders demanded that plans to destroy the tribals be stopped and promised to not vote for BJP unless the Code is established.

The leaders while addressing crowds said, “If Sarna will not get a separate religion code in the census form, then we will not allow the national census to happen.” The event was organized by various tribal organisations under the banner of Adivasi Samaj Sarna Dharma Raksha Abhiyan.

Tribals from Jharkhand along with Nepal, Bhutan, Odisha, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh and Bihar participated in this rally. Tribals have their own religion and their own culture. Leaders further said that the nature-worshipping tribals are neither Hindu nor Sanatan.

The leaders further reminded that there are over 12 crore nature-worshiping tribals all over the country who have their own religion. “We have our own culture, our own values. The tribals have their own places of worship and their own rituals which do not follow Hindu law. That’s why this conspiracy should be stopped, otherwise, it will have serious consequences,” they added.
