MF AHMAD

Daltonganj, Jan 16: The Palamu police on Sunday lodged an FIR against 10 persons for allegedly  conspiring to sell off the Nai Mohalla’s 1.07-acre land with pond by obtaining fake and forged land documents,

The officer in charge of the Chainpur police station, Uday Kumar Gupta, said, “The FIR was lodged by him  and his self-statement is the content of the FIR having number 09/2023 dated 7.01.2023.”

Notably, the investigating officer of this case is a sub-inspector of police Chainpur Bittu K Saha.

The pond is a tank of miseries for the buyers and sellers in Palamu’s Shahpur locality under the revenue circle of Chainpur. The land of the pond has been in use by the public for a long time.

Gupta added that the police have invoked sections 467, 468, 415, 420,120 (b), 506 and 34 of the IPC besides section 3 of the prevention of damage to the public property act against the 10 accused namely Dabloo Singh, Adil, Jyoti Jaiswal, Istekhar,  Akbar Ansari, Haji Lallan, Guddan, Krishna Prasad, Mustafa and Vijay Prasad.

Gupta said the pond is said to be a raiyyati one but in use for the public and was surreptitiously filled with soil and thus its nature was destroyed.

A water body in use for the public was thus turned into a commercial land consciously for earning money unlawfully by a group of 10 people who are the named accused in the FIR, added the police officer.

Notably, filling a water body without due intimation about it to the administration is a serious environmental offence.

The police officer said the PCC road adjacent to it was also fractured just to give the plots of the pond a high-value commercial tag.

Moreover, the pond has a deed of it from as far back as 1940 of one acre and seven decimals in the name of the late Roop Narayan Sao.

Notably, just the seven decimals of this one acre and seven decimals were procured by one Krishna Prasad of Shahpur, added police officer Gupta.

The mutation of land in the name of one Raghunandan Sao of Chando village bearing number 605/2004 -05 was fraudulently presented as a mutation of land in the name of Krishna Prasad of Shahpur, added the police officer Gupta

“Police have the certified copy of the mutation actually done in favour of Raghunandan Sao of Chando village which was fraudulently presented as mutation of Krishna Prasad,” he added

Notably, it was the maternal grandson of the late Roop Narayan Sao, Dharmender Prasad Jaiswal who on June 24, 2022, detected this fraud committed to the land of his late maternal grandfather and the CO Chainpur was given a complaint in this regard in writing but nothing came out.

Police officer Gupta said they have concrete circumstantial evidence to prove the nexus between land Mafiosi and gangster Dabloo Singh behind the sale -purchase of this land of the Talaab at Nai Mohalla to the buyers.

Assistant superintendent of police cum sub-divisional police officer Rishabha Garg told Lagatar24.com, “I had been to the plots of land of the pond. I found a few buyers of the land here have even constructed a concrete boundary wall. Now it is up to them to see what the future of the plot of land that they bought is for them.”

Garg said, “I would first recommend for the arrest of the ten accused, to be later ordered by the SP Palamu Chandan Kumar Sinha and then the arresting of the accused would be done as every criminal case has to after all reach its logical end.”
