Ranchi, April 26: The Jharkhand police have started a probe into the late night prone video call by a lady to six terms Ranchi MLA C.P. Singh.
The Officer-in-charge of Lalpur police station, Rajeev Kumar, who had registered an FIR in this connection on the basis of application given by the legislator, confirmed the beginning of the probe.
“After registration of the FIR, entire details have been made available to the cyber cell of the district,” Kumar said, informing about the development.
District cyber cell chief Yashodhara confirmed the development saying the process has been started and it will take some time to complete the investigation.
Six-term MLA Singh, whose phones 943117001 and 7004121404 remain switch on round the clock to attend all known and unknown calls, through an application to officer in-charge of Lalpur police station informed yesterday that it was getting 1am in the intervening night of April 24 and 25 when the lady called up.
Singh through his application mentioned that the lady started talking porn as he received her video call at the time when he was going to bed after attending social functions at different places and watching news.
Singh, who is approaching 70, said the lady was technically so sound to make such a call that it was difficult to disconnect her using the telephone system and he had to switch off his phone to get her call disconnected. The MLA said that the call worried him in such a way that he had to mute his phone to sleep.
The FIR was registered a day after state health minister Banna Gupta registered an FIR of a similar nature in Jamshedpur. Gupta registered the FIR after a video clip in which he was seen engaged in porn talk with a lady became viral.
