Ranchi, April 20: Jharkhand police dismissed its sub-inspector for spying for an extremist organization PLFI (People Liberation Front of India).
Sub inspector’s name is Manoj Kacchap. He was posted at Khunti. He had connivance with PLFI chief Dinesh Gope carrying an award of Rs 25 lakh on his head.
The superintendent of police of the district took the action on the instruction of his seniors. A senior official confirmed the development saying that before the action was taken departmental proceedings continued for two years against Kachhap.
“When during the departmental proceedings it was proved that Kacchap used to pass on secret information regarding police movement and anti-naxal operations it was decided that he be dismissed from the Jharkhand Police organization. His presence was felt dangerous for the department and officials associated with the police,” the senior official said.
