Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren handed over 1,485 modern vehicles to the state police to strengthen law and order across the state. He flagged off the vehicles and simultaneously laid the foundation for 12 new police stations in different districts through an online ceremony. During the event, the Chief Minister also distributed appointment letters to selected candidates.

Police Modernization To Strengthen Law And Order

Hemant Soren said the state government is committed to improving law and order and strengthening the policing system. He emphasized that maintaining peace, ensuring security, and controlling crime from urban centers to rural areas are key responsibilities of the police. According to him, the addition of modern vehicles will significantly enhance the police force’s operational capacity.

Improved Mobility And Faster Response

The Chief Minister noted that the availability of new vehicles will improve police mobility, response time, and field surveillance. This will allow law enforcement agencies to respond more quickly to incidents and strengthen crime control mechanisms. He added that the government is continuously working to modernize the police force and improve public safety.

Reference To Dhurwa Kidnapping Case

Soren also referred to a recent kidnapping case involving two minor children from the Dhurwa police station area. He said the prompt action by Jharkhand Police led to the quick rescue of the children and exposed an interstate child trafficking gang. According to him, such actions demonstrate the efficiency of the police and their effective use of modern technology.

Public Cooperation Essential For Law And Order

The Chief Minister urged citizens to cooperate with the police in maintaining law and order. He said public awareness and timely sharing of information with the police can help curb criminal activities. Strong trust, communication, and cooperation between citizens and law enforcement agencies will make the state’s security system more effective.

Appointment Letters Distributed To Selected Candidates

During the ceremony, Hemant Soren also handed over appointment letters to candidates selected for various government roles. He congratulated them and urged them to serve the state with dedication, honesty, and sensitivity. He also called on police personnel to prioritize public service and ensure the protection of vulnerable sections of society.

Large Number Of Vehicles Approved For Police Deployment

The Jharkhand government has approved 1,255 patrolling vehicles and 1,697 two-wheelers for the police department. In the first phase, 636 patrolling vehicles and 849 motorcycles are being distributed to various districts and police stations. These vehicles will be used for patrolling, quick response operations, rural monitoring, and surveillance in sensitive areas.
