Ranchi, June 1: A Jharkhand police team has rushed to Mumbai to probe a case involving allegation of ‘religious conversion attempt’, ‘love jihad’ and ‘sexual harassment’ against Ranchi-based modelling school director Tanveer Akhtar Khan by a model.
The Ranchi police have swung into action a day after Gonda police station in the Jharkhand capital registered an FIR on the basis of a complaint of the model, who is a native of Bhagalpur in Bihar.
The model alleged that Tanveer cheated her by identifying himself by a Hindu name, Yash, and became friendly. After being friendly and intimate he disclosed his real identity and mounted pressure on her to charge her religion to solemnise marriage. He threatened to kill here, after she refused his offer.
