Deoghar, Feb 11: Ranchi Mayor Asha Lakra today said that women are not at all safe in Santhal Pargana as they are raped and burnt quite frequently.
Notably, the Mayor was in Deoghar today to participate in a party’s program.
She added that love Jehad and land Jehad have become the two most prominent issues of Santhal Pargana.
“The leaders of congress who are on a tour of Santhal Pargana would either dispel intruders or facilitate them shelter, she said.
Talking over the candidature for Raj Mahal LS seat she said that as BJP is the biggest political party in the world, such matter is exclusively executed and handled by a higher team of the party.
The decision taken over by the team is percolated to a lower level and that is accepted from the state level to a grass root level.
“Nowadays, party workers at both levels are being trained and are strong enough to consolidate the organisation in Santhal Pargana and competent candidates are also being looked out for,” she said.
She said the party is serious about the Rajmahal LS seat. Keeping RajMahal LS seat at the pivot, the Vijay Sankalp Rally and even a tour of PM Modi have been held.
On the question of the Airport in Sahebganj that was coined by CM Hemant Soren during his tour on Nov 21, Asha Lakda counted the failures made by Hemant Soren’s lead government on many fronts.
She said that the CM has no vision and no planning. Funds of the fourteenth and fifteenth finance commissions are being used. The govt has not even conducted the election for local bodies of the state.
CM Hemant Soren does nothing but makes only demands from the centre.
On the issue of 1932 Khatiyan, she claimed that being capable of implementing the law the state govt throws the ball in the centre’s net to include it in the 9th schedule.
Reacting to Rail Chakka Jam by Adivasi Sengal Association (ASA), she said that there are more than 700 sub-groups in tribes across the country and Srana is differently known on the basis of the local region so before the implementation of the code, there should be a party meeting.
