Ramgarh, May 10: A delegation of the Jharkhand Seva Samiti, under the leadership of Amit Sinha, president of the committee and executive member of Ramgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries, met Santosh Sinha, Superintendent Engineer of the Electricity Department and handed over a memorandum to him.

The delegation included members of Jharkhand Seva Samiti, members of Laghu Udyog Bharti and some members of the executive committee of the Ramgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries.

In the memorandum handed over to the Superintendent Engineer, the delegation said that in this fierce heat wave, people are facing huge problems due to irregular power supply in the district including the city. The delegation told him that the irregular power supply is adversely affecting the education of the children.  At the same time, irregular power supply is also affecting various industries and businesses operating in the district.

The delegation further added that due to the interruption of electricity supply for hours, thieves and high-handed people are taking advantage of it and are carrying out incidents of theft and robbery in the city.  The delegation has demanded from Superintendent Engineer to regularize the electricity supply in the entire district including the city so that people can get relief from this fierce heat.  The president of the committee, Amit Sinha, said that if the power supply is not regularized soon,  the Jharkhand Seva Samiti and Ramgarh residents will be forced to agitate on this issue.

On the demand of the delegation, Santosh Sinha assured the delegation to regularize the power supply in the entire district including the city.  A copy of the memorandum has also been handed over to the manager of DVC.
