Ranchi, Oct 20: Kolkata based businessman Amit Agrawal has been passing through one of the toughest times of his life inside the Birsa Munda Central Jail in Ranchi where he is said to have developed several health complications including constipation.
It was revealed about three days back when another jail mate and his close associate Prem Prakash fetched medicine from the jail doctor stating that the medicine was required for Amit Agrawal who has severe constipation. Due to this reason Amit Agrawal could not take meal properly. It is learnt that he has not been able to clear his bowel for the last two days.
The Enforcement Directorate arrested Amit Agrawal on October 7 in cash for PIL case. After seven days of police remand, Amit Agrawal was sent to Birsa Munda Central Jail and kept at barrack number 11 A.
Insiders said that Prem Prakash has been taking care of all the requirements and concerns of Amit Agrawal. Prakash is also lodged in same jail and they have a long business association. However, the ED in prosecution complaint related to illegal mining has stated that they were associated in the illegal stone mining and transportation in Sahibganj. As per the information, three other jail inmates are also said to be helping Amit Agrawal as sewadar.
The opposition has been accusing the jail administration for providing luxuries to such high profile undertrials. The grapevine even claimed after the arrest of Amit Agrawal the jail administration installed western commode for him.
