Jharkhand’s engineering colleges start admission process for 3,475 seats

Ranchi, Dec 4: 11 engineering colleges of Jharkhand have started online registration for the first round of counseling for students. As many as 3,475 engineering aspirants will secure their seats in these colleges. The registration process will last till December 10.

The registration for the second round of counselling will start from December 25 and the last to submit the form is December 29.

The aspirants will have to pay a counselling fee of Rs 400 if they belong to the General/EWS/BC-1/BC-2 category and Rs 250 in case of SC/ST.

The students on getting selected in the first round of counselling, will get their seat allotment letter between December15-22. For the notification of the second round of counseling, the date has been set between January 2-8.

Document verification for the candidates selected in the first round of counselling will take place from December 16 to 22 and for candidates selected in the second round of counseling, it will be conducted between January 3 to 8.

According to reports, 680 seats are available in government engineering college BIT Sindri, while 210 seats are available in University College of Engineering and Technology Hazaribagh.

Similarly in private engineering colleges, RamGovind Institute of Technology Koderma has 336 seats; Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society Technical Campus in Bokaro has 300, RTC Institute of Technology Ranchi has 210, BA College of Engineering and Technology Jamshedpur has 174 and KK College of Engineering and Management Dhanbad has 420 seats.

Admission will begin for 350 seats in RVS College of Engineering and Technology Jamshedpur, 390 in Cambrian Institute of Technology, 180 in DAV College of Engineering and Technology Palamu, and 225 in Maryland Institute of Technology and Management Jamshedpur.
