Dhanbad, Jan 12: Thang-Ta Federation of India has selected Sanju Kumar of Bokaro district in 25 members judge panel for conducting the 5th Khelo Indian Youth Games scheduled to be held in Madhya Pradesh from January 30 to February 11.
Jharkhand Thang-TA Association president Ranjit Kesri said that Thang-Ta Federation of India has issued 25 members to the judging panel for the technical committee among them Jharkhand’s Sanju Kumar has also been selected.
Sanju Kumar has been associated with Thang-Ta since 2011 and he is the lone nationally recognised judge of Jharkhand in the game.
Sanju Kumar is a seasoned martial arts player and has represented Jharkhand and the country in several national and international tournaments in the last 12 years before entering the technical committee of judges Thang-Ta.
Ranjit Kesri said that though the 5th Khelo India Youth Games will begin on January 30, the Thang-TA event would be conducted Sports Complex of Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh from February 8 to 10.
“It is an achievement of Jharkhand that a Thang-Ta judge of state has been selected in 25 members of the elite technical committee of the country to officiate Youth Games,” said Ranjit Kesri.
State secretary Manoj Sharma, treasurer, Anil Kumar Tulsyan, Rajesh Yadav, Suraj Verma and Pawan Barnbal have congratulated Sanju Kumar for his selection.
