New Delhi, March 16: Jhulan Goswami, an Indian bowler, became the first woman to take 250 ODI wickets.
Goswami dismissed Tammy Beaumont in India’s World Cup match against England at Mount Maunganui on Wednesday, becoming the top wicket-taker in the history of the Women’s World Cup with 41 wickets and counting.

Jhulan had already made history in women’s cricket by becoming the first woman to capture 40 wickets in a single Women’s World Cup, surpassing Australia’s Lyn Fullston. Goswami’s contribution to the sport has been praised by a number of international women’s cricket stars.
