New Delhi, March 10: During the match against New Zealand at Seddon Park in Hamilton on Thursday, India pacer Jhulan Goswami became the highest wicket-taker at the ICC Women’s World Cup.

With her 39th wicket at the Women’s World Cup, the veteran speedster matched Australia’s Lyn Fullston’s record, dismissing New Zealand’s Katey Martin. The White Ferns scored 260 for nine in 50 overs, with Goswami taking one for 41 in nine overs.

With 248 wickets in 197 matches, the 39-year-old owns the most scalps in all Women’s One-Day Internationals (WODIs).

She bowled a fantastic stint in India’s first match, returning 2/26 in India’s triumph over Pakistan. Goswami has 39 wickets to her name in five Women’s Cricket World Cups since 2005, spanning a career spanning two decades. Pooja Vastrakar took four wickets as India reduced New Zealand to 260/9 at Seddon Park during the ongoing ICC Women’s 50-over World Cup.

Amy Satterthwaite and Amelia Kerr both bowled 75 and 50 runs, respectively. Pooja Vastrakar took four wickets for Women in Blue and was involved in a key run out, while Rajeshwari Gayakwad dismissed two players.
