J&K: CRPF personnel succumbs to injuries after terrorist attack in Pulwama

Pulwama, July 17: One CRPF personnel succumbed to his injuries after terrorists attacked police and CRPF personnel in the Gangoo area of Pulwama today. At Gangoo Crossing in Pulwama, terrorists opened fire on a police party from an orchard close by. Assistant sub-inspector Vinod Kumar of the CRPF was critically hurt during the shooting, according to the police. He was sent to the hospital right away for treatment, but he passed away from his wounds there. Search operations are in progress, and the area has been closed off completely.

“The firing happened at Gangoo Crossing Pulwama on a check post and was done from a nearby Apple orchard. 1 CRPF personnel ASI Vinod Kumar was seriously injured and succumbed to his wounds during treatment. The area was cordoned off. Search in progress,” said J&K Police.
