J&K: News portal’s editor-in-chief turns out as LeT terrorist in Srinagar, neutralised

One other terrorist was also killed in the operation

Srinagar, Mar 30: Security forces killed two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants in a confrontation in Srinagar’s Rainawari area on Wednesday.

Around midnight, a clash between terrorists and security troops erupted. The two terrorists were killed in the early hours of today morning.

Rayees Ahmad Bhat, one of the murdered terrorists, possessed a press card, according to the Kashmir Zone Police.

Bhat was the editor-in-chief of Valley Media Service, an unnamed news gathering firm, according to the card.

In 2021, Bhat is said to hold terrorist ranks, and two FIRs for terror crimes have been filed against him.

Hilal Ah Rah, a ‘C’ category terrorist and a resident of Bijbehara, has been identified as the second slain terrorist.

Police also recovered incriminating materials including arms and ammunition.
