Bhaderwah, Feb 20: A suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist was arrested in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Sunday.
A joint search party of police, Rashtriya Rifles, and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) apprehended Adil Iqbal Butt, a resident of Sazan-Bajarni village, during vehicle checks at Thathri on Saturday, officials said.
A pistol, two magazines, and nine rounds were recovered from the suspected terrorist’s possession, according to authorities.
According to the officials, preliminary inquiry revealed that he was being handled by Mohd Amin alias Muzamil alias Haroon alias Umar, a terrorist from Doda currently operating out of Pakistan.
According to them, a case has been filed at police station Thathri under relevant provisions of the law, and additional investigation is underway.
