The origin and source of the blast is being studied, he said, whether it was caused by a grenade or a previously planted IED (improvised Explosive Device) inside the car or a battery fault.
The soldiers who were injured have been taken to a hospital. The blast also caused significant damage to the car. According to sources, the blast was unlikely to have been caused by a battery explosion given to the strength of the blast, albeit a complete investigation is underway.
