Ranchi, Nov 30: The residence of former Jharkhand Chief Minister and JMM supremo Shibu Soren will become a heritage building. The Building Construction Department has issued a tender to develop Shibu Soren’s government residence located at Morhabadi, Ranchi as a historical building.
Shibu’s residence will be made a heritage building at a cost of Rs 4.59 crore and the company taking the work will have to complete the work within six months.
According to the e-procurement notice issued by the Building Construction Department, the tender will be published on www.jharkhandtenders.gov.in. Bids can be submitted on the website till 20 December 2021. Applicants applying for the bid will need to have UCAN registration. Apart from the website, information can also be obtained by contacting the Procurement Officer’s number 9973708817 or 9431371592.
The former Chief Ministers of the state including Shibu Soren have got government accommodation, but Shibu Soren has got permanent residence not because of being the former Chief Minister but because of his important role in the Jharkhand movement. He has been allotted lifelong residence at Morhabadi after a decision of the cabinet.
