Ranchi, July 15: As Babulal Marandi assumed charge of BJP state president, the JMM launched a frontal attack on him saying if he continues till 2024, the BJP, which had got only one Koderma seat in 2004 parliamentary election, will not get a single seat in the parliamentary elections.
JMM spokesman Supriyo Bhhatacharya launched the attack addressing a press conference at party’s Harmu office hardly five and a half hours after Marandi assumed charge and expressed his intention to make Narendra Modi Prime Minister of India for the third time in a row.
Bhattacharya, whose better half is a member of the Jharkhand Public Service Commission, questioned the selection ability of senior BJP leaders.
The JMM leader said that it was a matter of concern that the BJP, which claims to be the biggest political party of the world, failed to select one BJP legislature party chief and party president from the regular party workers and depended on exported leaders like Marandi for the same.
The JMM leader said that Marandi is the same person who called bad name for the BJP for 14 years and whom former chief minister Raghubar Das had cursed saying that the BJP had made them minister lifting from ‘Tisri duniya (third world)’ but he fails to get vote from “Tisri’ village.
JMM leader Bhattacharya quoting his friends in the BJP said that with the entry of Marandi, the BJP has got divided into five groups, including old BJP, Raghubar’s BJP, Arjun’s BJP, JVM’s BJP and the new BJP whose leader was outgoing party president Deepak Prakash.
The BJP has appointed Marandi president to ensure his ouster after defeat of BJP in 2024 and pave path for an outsider chief minister,” Bhattacharya said.
The JMM leader sharing his personal observation said there are three BJPs in the state. The three include Bahari BJP, Munda BJP and new JVM BJP.
Bhattacharya during the press conference remembered the death of three tribal members during violence on the issue of domicile on July 24 in 2002 when Marandi was chief minister and incident of firings that took place during Marandi’s regime.
Notably, Marandi during his address in the afternoon today has asked the party worker to tell the tribals how the BJP created Jharkhand. On which Bhattacharya said tribes know well that the Jharkhand was not gifted but was taken by dint of sacrifices and struggle.
The JMM leader, on the occasion, also pointed out the mistakes of the BJP government. He said that people will question Marandi about his 14-year political career outside the BJP during which he kept on winning assembly seats by misleading people against the BJP and after his JVM’s party seats’ were reduced to three in the last assembly elections he merged the party with the BJP.
